The Bylaws Committee of ACRL-LA has suggested amendments to the bylaws. Members received a copy of the revised bylaws and a copy of the existing bylaws (last revised 2013) by email on November 22 for review. A vote will take place in January.

Here is a summary of the major changes:

Article II:

Elizabeth Batte has been elected Vice President/President-Elect of the Louisiana Chapter of ACRL. Elizabeth’s term as Vice President begins today. Thank you to members who voted in this special election!

There are two candidates for Vice President/President-Elect: Elizabeth Batte and Michael Holt. ACRL-LA Chapter members have received a ballot by email. Voting remains open until October 31st.

We are seeking nominations for Vice President/President-Elect, as Marcus Spann is moving out of state for another position and is unable to complete his term. Thank you, Marcus, for your service to ACRL-LA for the past year!

The Louisiana Chapter of ACRL is sponsoring the ACRL eLearning webcast "Online Library Instruction: Best Practices for Live Synchronous Teaching" for all ACRL-LA members. The live viewing will be held in Zoom and is limited to the first 30 members who register. The webcast recording will be sent to all chapter members.
