Mike Holt has been elected to the Executive Board of the Louisiana Chapter of ACRL as our new Vice President/President-Elect. Mike’s one-year term begins September 1, 2022, followed by a two-year term as President.
Mike Holt has been the head of the Research and Instruction Services Department at Louisiana State University since July 2021. Prior to arriving at LSU, he spent fifteen years at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA as an Archives Assistant, Reference Librarian, and Marketing and Assessment Coordinator. He is very interested in academic library leadership, the impact of critical theory on library assessment, and burnout in academic library employees. While in Valdosta, he learned the value of a strong state organization for academic librarians and hopes to do whatever he can to help the ACRL-LA chapter going forward.
