Call for Nominations: National Library Week 2023, ACRL-LA Awards

For this year’s National Library Week (April 23-29), the ACRL-LA Awards Committee will be honoring two library professionals from Louisiana for their outstanding achievement in the library field. All kinds of library personnel (academic, public, special) are eligible for nominations. Categories include:

Library Professional Award​​

Library professionals are individuals who tirelessly work to provide needed information to patrons. This category highlights librarians who take on leadership roles or specialize in developing programs for the community. These may include directors, heads of departments, instructors, archivists, and others.

Library Support Staff Award

Support staff, or paraprofessionals, work in various operations of the library and provide leadership and expertise in their field. Support staff may include library assistants, clerks, associates, technicians, specialists, and others.

Please send nominations through the following form no later than Monday, April 24 at 11:55 PM CST. Self-nominations are also welcome. The prize for each award includes a year-long membership to ACRL-LA and a cash prize of $100. The winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 26.
